I'm using different software, e.g.
- Milkshape 3D for modeling objects
- Cyber Motion 3D for creating landscapes, and I add there also the 3D objects to render my images (that means I'm creating my final screens in it)
- Google Sketchup (if I want to work fast, because it's very easy to use compared to other 3D software)

Not all of them are free though. You can take a look at this thread if you like :)

No, I had no problems, however I'm still using the previous version of it. So I haven't tried to download the latest version.
Btw, you know that Cyber Motion 3D is not free?

If you have no experience with 3D modeling, I would recommend you Google SketchUp as it is much easier to use, and there are ready models (objects) that you can download and add to your freeware project.
