Cook them and mash them and then it can be divided equally ;-)

rosiemay05
04-23-2006, 19:24:32
ahhh good thinking, but technically wouldn't you need a knife to cut the potato into chunks too cook it?

Mistery
04-23-2006, 19:25:32
No, haven't you ever cooked them as whole?!?
I often do. And then you can also peel them without using a knife.

Romeo and Juliet are found dead on the floor in a bedroom. When they were discovered, there were pieces of glass and some water on the floor. The only furniture in the room is a shelf and a bed. The house in is a remote location, away from everything except for the nearby railway track. What caused the death of Romeo and Juliet?

Freakshow59
04-24-2006, 20:48:12
I have the answer to this, its real easy. There were three glasses on the shelf, Romeo or Juilet broke of them. They then put the glass and water in each of the two glasses, drank them and died of internal bleeding. Or, there was a third person involved for this theroy. They threw themselves in front of a oncoming train. The third person them carried them back to the bedroom smashed the glass, put some water on the floor to make it look like they followed theroy #1.

How do I know all of this? I watch CSI:

rosiemay05
04-28-2006, 20:28:46
the answer is less complicated than that lol, romeo and juliet were fish and the rumble of the train knocked the tank off the shelf. lol
btw, i watch csi too, cool programme.

Hollandgirl
06-08-2006, 15:22:19
now i've got two, both quite easy, especially for such smart people like EB, mistery nd jellybean!!

1: A guy comes down in the elevator every day and goes to his work, he lives on the 12th floor. When he comes back and if it doesn't rain or if there's no one with him in the elevator, he goes to the 10th floor and walkes the other two stories by stairs.
But is there someone with him on the elevator or if it rains (or both) he goes right up to the 12th story. Why is that?

2: There is a perfectly square huis. Is has no stuff around it, nothing, just earth. A man walks around it: first side: 1 min. 30 second side: 1 min. 30 third side: 1 min. 30 fourth side: 90 sec. Why 90 sec??

Especially the last one is easy...

*Does some thinking and reasoning*

Well, obviously, the ppl were test dummys to see if an old elevator worked.

Or, like on this one episode of Mythbusters, the ppl were still test dummies, however the elevator was forced to crash down 50 floors, that's why they weren't harmed in any way

Maniac

Congratulation, you are right. Did you already know this one?

New riddle:
You are walking for hours on a straight way towards a village. Suddenly the road splits in 2 different directions. You don't have a clue what the right way to the village is. But where the roads splits you see a little house. In the house live two totally identical twin brothers. There is only one difference between them: one brother always tells the truth and the other brother always lies. Because the brothers are very bussy with playing games on Gamershood they allow you to ask 1 question (both brothers will answer that 1 and same question).

Which question you have to ask to find the correct way to the village?

Freakshow59

Ask who lies and what way's the village. Obviously the one telling lies will say I tell the truth and vice versa thus, the one who lies is the one telling the truth

they will both point to the wrong road so you just take the other one!
at least i think thats right

the truth teller will point at the wrong road because thats what the liar would do. and the liar would point at the wrong road because the truth teller would have pointed at the right road but he must lie. so therefore they are both pointing at the wrong road!

and adventure i had heard the other one before :)

Three people check into a hotel. They pay ?30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager suddenly remembers that the room rate is ?25 and gives ?5 to the bellboy to return to the people. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that ?5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets ?2 and gives ?1 to each person. Now each person paid ?10 and got back ?1. You were only allowed to ask 1 question Freakshow, bit the right answer is already given.

About the poison riddle, do you means it have to make three poisons from the sence: Poison isn't nice.
I am thinking of it and tell you tommorrow what I have made of it, if there isn't anyone that already gave the right answer.

now i've got two, both quite easy, especially for such smart people like EB, mistery nd jellybean!!

Right, I know this is an old, I mean really old riddle, but the answer to the first one is he was a too short to reach the 12 button, but if somebody else was there, they would press the button for him, but I haven't worked out the rain part yet.:(

this is a good one

There is a corridor that leads into an empty room. the room is completely empty except for a lamp in one of the corners. on the other side of the corridor are 3 switches. you know that one of them turns on the lamp, the other 2 dont do anything. you can play around with the switches turning each of them on and off as much as you like, then you can go into the room 1 (one!!) time to check whether the lamp is on or off (there is a door so you cant know without entering the room). leaving the room, you have to know which of the 3 switches works and which 2 dont.

A young peasant wanted to marry the king's daughter. The king didn't like the idea of his daughter marrying a peasant, but he wanted to appear fair in front of his subjects. The king said that he would put two pieces of paper into a hat, one reading EXILE and the other reading MARRIAGE. Later that day, the peasant overheard the king saying that both pieces of paper would read EXILE, thus ensuring that the peasant would be out of his way for good. I know the answer, but I'm not telling.

The peasant remained undaunted and, as arranged, arrived at the king's court where a large crowd gathered for the big event. The peasant then did something that assured him the hand of the king's daughter. What did he do?

Think, what could the peasant do?

Samuel

he ate one of them w/o letting anybody see it, then with exile being in the hat still, he must have ate marriage. easy :)

eyesofblue227

If both pieces say EXILE on them, then the peasant is pretty much screwed lol.
Ahh, that's a good theory Sammy.

Close. He took one, ripped it up and showed the other one being EXILE. And since the king didn't want to look fraudulent, he said that he ripped up MARRIAGE

Samuel
08-12-2006, 23:02:54
a couple simple ones

There are 3 daughters. The sum of their ages is the same as their address and the product of their ages is 36. Since this wasn't enough information one more fact was added, the oldest daughter has red hair. What are their ages?

What fastens two people yet touches only one?

eyesofblue227

What does the red hair have to do with anything lol? The second is a wedding ring, not sure about the first.

Yes, I'm confused about the first one, but well I just say 6, 3, 2. You can laugh now :-)

hmm, that would work. but its not right

Mistery
08-12-2006, 23:11:31
What does it have to do with hair color and address?
Well 9 2 2 is also possible.

Samuel
08-12-2006, 23:14:30
oh there are lots of possibilities, but that last sentence gives away which is right, so you'll have to tell me the answer and why its the right one
heh heh maybe i didnt give enough info. two of the daughters are twins :)

4 3 3?
Hmm, oldest daughter, well in this case it would be the older daughter or not)... I don't see the logic in this riddle :-(

Why, because otherwise it wouldn't be "oldest", right? But why was my first answer wrong then?

Samuel
