Usually there is ONE (known) pane to work off of... but I think this is the 1st one in which there is precious little to go on !! (personally speaking)

Good mystery RBS :)

All I can guess is the 'n' represents n' -or- and (MAYbe),
and that the end is 'big(ger)ant' -or- 'large ant'.

The toes are anybody's guess !!

Sheesh.

EDIT:

1. Something to do with amputation ? frost bite ? or, is it along the lines of 'little piggies' as earlier suggested ?
3. "Queen" ant ? The band 'Queen' ? (briefly looked for songs... nada).

stitchy
05-15-2009, 11:42 PM
The toes are just blacked out, not amputated, so it looks like he wants to highlight those certain toes

RBS
05-16-2009, 02:45 PM
Sorry to keep you hanging. Its a two word answer

Pane 1 - you have to work with the word 'toes'. If you can get the easier 2nd word it should become evident.

N - is what it is

Pane 2 - The ant without the arrow pointing at him is the shorter ant.

GODA
05-16-2009, 04:13 PM

shaharc
05-18-2009, 07:14 AM
not really, a bit, but mainly rebus-ish

donaud
05-18-2009, 07:21 AM
All I got is "time is money" (maybe). Odd clock.

The bear and weight are positioned consciously, I imagine ?

shaharc
05-18-2009, 07:23 AM
your first sentence is right, you still need to do something with it (something riddle-ish I suppose :P)
the other two are just positioned like that to seperate from the first sentence
and you got one of them correctly

stitchy
05-18-2009, 07:24 AM
Oh. What (did) those hand gestures mean in The Colosseum ?

I had no idea! Good one!

donaud

"time is money - is bear ton" :P

Ben Franklin quote... not sure if that is relevant.

Ursa ? Ezra Pound ?

vlc5863
05-18-2009, 07:38 AM
Hmm, I've never seen a clock in 7 minute increments before, lol And I believe 'time is money' is a Benjamin Franklin quote.

Edit: Benjamin Bearington?

shaharc

you need to get a something from the first expression, and its not the quoter
regarding the other two , donaud already got them right

vlc5863

Im curious, what kind of clock that is. Or is that giving away too much?

Tough one. 2nd pane is bugging me. I see a high fence all the way around giving it the look of a compound. 3rd pane looks like a night launch of a rocket.

shootermagavin
05-19-2009, 11:43 PM
2nd pic doesn't look real, maybe a scene from a video game?
Like a sims game.

donaud
05-20-2009, 12:09 AM
Looks like a watercolor painting. A "manor" maybe ?

http://z.about.com/d/dc/1/0/M/C/cubs3.jpg (awesome picture)

shootermagavin

stitchy
05-20-2009, 05:45 AM
I am not sure where the picture came from, it's possible it came from a sim game, but it's the content of the picture that matters.

RBS
05-20-2009, 03:34 PM

donaud
05-20-2009, 03:55 PM

RBS
05-20-2009, 04:42 PM
If it was tennessee it would be awesome so cred to stitch for thinking that way. Annie Lennox was part of a band...crud...oh yeah Eurhytmics. Not helping

donaud
05-20-2009, 04:47 PM
Yeah... tennessee is awesome !

Wish I thought of THAT !!

RBS
05-20-2009, 04:48 PM

donaud
05-20-2009, 04:52 PM
Not consciously !!

RBS
05-20-2009, 04:56 PM
LOL, well speaking for the rest of us rebusers we give you credit for the best Tennessee you never thought of.

donaud
05-20-2009, 05:08 PM
Ha !

This should be my last rebus.

stitchy
05-20-2009, 05:38 PM
I agree, that is the best tennessee, ever! I was thinking: "Does he walk around his house all day thinking about how he can forumulate words?, (how can I make tennesee - ten e's in a C!)"

Some day, when nobody's around, I'm gonna throw that one in there again!! :D

donaud
05-20-2009, 06:21 PM
if nobody's around, who ya gonna dupe ??!!

stitchy
05-20-2009, 06:28 PM
I was just kidding!
could the first word be tennis?

donaud
05-20-2009, 06:33 PM
it... could.

stitchy
05-20-2009, 06:54 PM

donaud
05-21-2009, 04:09 AM
Ten-E's Annie won.

Yes Stitch, you got it :appl:

(I threw the "C" shape in to throw you all :))

stitchy
05-21-2009, 04:19 AM
Well, it worked! Little did you know you could have saved it for "tennessee". I need to make a rebus, so it will be awhile...stay tuned...

Sorry it took so long, I fell asleep! (I've had a rough couple of days)

donaud
05-21-2009, 04:30 PM
I recognize the woman/actress... no way i'll recall a name. She's been in a TON, but nothing very huge, right ?

RBS
05-21-2009, 04:42 PM
She is not familiar to me at all. I was thinking she wasn't American.

Edit: O btw Ten e's Annie won made me really laugh out loud.

donaud
05-21-2009, 04:49 PM
Ah, tks RBS.

Yeah, this actress... kinda "after school special" queen.

And that first pane, could be ANYTHING... Ha !

That's the joker card, there.

RBS
05-21-2009, 04:54 PM
I get nervous whenever I see a horse in here. Keep thinking it's the cousin of "in"

donaud
05-21-2009, 05:01 PM
or "nightmare"

or players choice :P

stitchy
05-21-2009, 05:42 PM
How's it going?

donaud
05-21-2009, 05:52 PM
For me, the actress' name is impossible.

I can't think of a single memorable role.

stitchy
05-21-2009, 06:07 PM
she is from the day's of the brat pack, sort of loosely connected to them

donaud
05-21-2009, 06:15 PM
Brat Pack girls were (are) Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy. No ?

Still lost.

stitchy
05-21-2009, 06:17 PM
she is "loosely" connected to them
