The green ones aren't a letter if that helps. If you have the correct letters just look at what you have from a different angle.

We were thinking earlier about ASCII character. When you hold down Alt and type the numbers in it makes characters. Everything I tried with that idea was a dead end. Did you google the name of the pic Lamont. You'll get another clue if you do.

converted the number on the page from base 26 to decimal
(get some huge number) and I have converted it TO base 26 from decimal and get a number so large they represent it with letters!

No, they are just at the quotation marks on both ends without space (at least if we follow the source code).

I just solved 7. Took about 5 minutes. I think from reading back that you guys are WWWAAAAAYYYYYY over thinking this one. Can't blame you after all the previous stages though...

1. The spaces are VERY significant. You can look at the source code where it gives the ALT text for the image and count the spaces there.

2. Their is a single step involved in transforming that mess into the answer but nothing difficult.

3. The answer is an actual word.. or compound word that is.

Thought I'd help since I'd have never got past that base 26 one without the posts I read earlier.

A2 O3 ..... and so on. I treated each of these pairs as its OWN little puzzle. You do the same and I think you'll have it in no time.

Salad was a hint but just not a good one. I didn't have a taco salad, I didn't have a tuna salad, or a chef's salad. Or maybe it was a good hint, just to much of a riddle in itself.

Reys, or rey I"m pretty sure means "King" in spanish. Aztec counting was done in base 20 - but this knowledge hasn't helped me yet.

So instead of going:- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 etc.,
it would go:-

2 6
3 7

It would explain the odd light because that would be at the end. I know it leaves two "spaces" next to each other but it's my only idea.

When you are actually on a traffic light, the yellow ones don't bother you. You either have a red light and wait for the green, or you have a green light and simply go.

Just found this site to tinker with while I'm at work. But my grief, it's been 2 hours playing with numbers that are rat genomes and letters from appliances trying to descramble something that's driving me nuts. Even with tools it doesn't work, which means I've somehow boned getting the letters in the first place :( Back to crosswords for me I s'pose :p

You don't have to put 2 and 2 together but a letter and a number ---->
Am still not getting 7...
is the answer a number or a word? I am not sure how to put them together-- A+2 in ascii = c or 67...but doing that to each pair just yields nonsense - especially the X3 one
Once again I am probably missing a step!
