This is proving to be possibley the hardest riddle I've ever sone and I've worked my way through a fair few! I have never taken so long to get to level 8 before and then been stuck in the same place so long!

The last 12 pages contain no new hints, so new players will have difficulties to find the clues because they have to read through countless pages without any new information. Therefore I suggest that only questions or relevant ideas on the game should be posted. Thank you :-)
Can somebody give me a hint for 7 please?
Mistery
07-20-2006, 01:56 PM
Write down the letters followed by the number of spaces. Add number of spaces to the letters each to get solution word.
Thank you :), Good job Joanna.
Maybe 8 is just a regular cryptogram.
Wasn't there a culture thats written communication was a rope. I have an idea I think might work.

Hmm...
I'm currently thinking in terms of light; lightyears, speed of light etc. It's the Traffic lights, the "period of epic proportions", Aztec sunblock.
But, I don't know...
Does anybody know the alphabet I'm refering to. I can't remember which culture used it. It looks sort of like this.

Yes, he may not be driving a car, because you can't read while driving. I know this is a stupid idea, but what if he's talking about a light ray going through somewhere?

@ Jack:
No, I don't think I know it. But I'll try to check.
By the way level 7 was solved by Flipmode.
It was used by an ancient civilization and this could easily convert into it. I've used it before in puzzles.

No, the one I'm refering to is a vertical line and it has several differently spaced lines shooting out of it. I'm still looking.
Found it, it won't work though. Nevermind.

Sorry that was what I was hinting at lol I don't know the answer still I just have the egg page!
I did say I got it from elsewhere npfan and looky you are here!
They could be numbers 0-9. Maybe you have to apply that to the first page.
The numbers translate to 514119421, but that didn't work.

Why aren't there any yellows???? There are now more reds and greens. I'm so confused!
If you take out the yellows the number of traffic signals is divisable by four. Somehow we have to apply the text there.
Could it be a variation of the Bacon cipher?
Spacechild399
07-20-2006, 03:24 PM
I don't see how, but it's worth a try.
Spacechild399
07-20-2006, 03:33 PM
I don't think it is, because the Bacon cipher uses 5 letters + I can't make it work with 4.

Whilst at work I had a couple of ideas. How about Gamma Rays?
I also found a site which looked rather promising but it's foreign and on PDF. Someone plz take a look here approx page 119 www2.imm.dtu.dk/pubdb/views/edoc_download.php/3393/pdf/imm3393.pdf

EDIT: I mean the page that Donna talked about.
Try looking on page 121 it gives you values eg
GRRR = 011011 RGGR = 001100 and so on
But even so, this is getting rediculous lol
Spacechild399
07-20-2006, 04:07 PM
Its because it's "king" in Aztec language, or so jack thinks.
Spacechild399
07-20-2006, 04:15 PM
I tried converting everything using the values Donna pointed out, then translating all the 0's and 1's into text (using a binary translator) but got nothing.
Try looking on page 121 it gives you values eg
GRRR = 011011 RGGR = 001100 and so on
But even so, this is getting rediculous lol
I tried the binary route when I first got the egg page. It didn't lead me anywhere that I could see.

even with Jack's hint above my answers don't work :/

Yes, it is. I tried that already though.

07-20-2006, 07:36 PM
yeah me too--or I wouldn't have posted the name...I still think it applies somehow though--

I tried redherring as an answer too.

Me too! Would have been the perfect (but too easy) answer.
Same here! But I agree with the importance of the haiku.
Spacechild399
07-20-2006, 07:41 PM
The haiku is important because it has to be 5 syllables, then 7, then 5.... exactly what this is....coincedence? I think not!
Donna
07-20-2006, 07:48 PM
Hasn't the 2nd line got 8 syllables??

What does the clue in the source mean - "Look between the lines"??
I just tried the middle syllables of each line as the answer, but it didn't work.
othderhere
And it says within, not between. That could mean something totally different.

Could it be one of those puzzles where
some letters are darker than others?
I've looked in paint and it seems like it but I had trouble on the last puzzle like it.
It's not, I tried about every technique I know with pictures.

Spacechild399

I think it may be something to do with putting some of the syllables from each line together.
:yeahcool:EDIT: I just realised I'm the 1000th post! Yayyy!
The ones in the middle of each line don't work, I didn't try any other ones though.

yes, i have also adopted this idea of yours
can soem oen pm me the answer to three then?
Cannot give you the answer, but here is a hint. F-I-SH what parts of LAUgh, WoMEN, and NAtiON make the sounds for those parts of F-I-SH?
judyg8or
07-20-2006, 10:23 PM
on 15 I have also tried to find
a sound file of some sort tried
the url as it is
fishy
and
haiku
with extensions
mp3
mid
and
midi
nothing - but maybe I am using the wrong words/extensions
can anyone think of any ooo I just did lol
ok--.wav doesn't work with any of the above either...
can anyone think of any other words to use for a sound file??
also--
whats with the five dots before fishy?
Spacechild399
07-20-2006, 10:32 PM
I noticed the dots as well, maybe it's a 5-letter word before fishy. The name of a poem or something??
OK, I can't see the forest for the trees. I tried about a dozen synonyms of "run away" and none have worked Any hint will help. :thk:

judyg8or
07-20-2006, 10:50 PM
No
But I am beginning to think the whole poetry/haiku is a red herring
and that the real clues are
Do you need help?
And look within the lines
I also think this has something to do with Level 3
because of
the name of the pic, the word fish
and this from Level 3 source:
You Never Can Tell, what information you may need.
It would be too much to assume that 12 would be like 11. I waded through the posts to see if anyone else got stuck here, but everyone is PMing instead of posting hints. A little push please, anyone?
judyg8or
07-20-2006, 11:22 PM

Which one was 12??
Darkness. A black square. :au:
i totally just give up. i'm still stuck on 8. I hate this thing. bye guys thanks for the help!
I know these puzzles can be frustrating, but don't give up. :au: Use the list from the "egg" page and number them 0-9. Think of the yellow dots as commas. Now using the numbered list, translate the lights to a string of #s. Apply the numbers to the alphabet. If you missed this post, I also PMed this to you.

D'oh. I had the right answer, but I was trying to put it in the URL.
It's hard when they are so obvious. :pauk: I tend to overthink things.
I am looking at 14 and I do not "feel it" (as the button says). I tried translating the binary, but am pretty sure that has nothing to do with the solution. I could be wrong, though. Hmm.... :thk:

has anyone got 15 yet?
Alright I'm trying something new here. Maybe this is the last level or the next one is and we have to put where we want to go as the answer. The word in red is close to the word finish.
The last dot before the fish may be a different color than the rest too, I'm not positive though.

well it says it sounds fishy also
AND the source says "You Never Can Tell, what information you may need"
well, stage 14 is asking for poetry... much ado about nothing is a shakespere play on a "stage" maybe its asking to read within the lines of the play??
or maybe i'm going nowhere with this....just an idea!

I just started number 15 myself, there are so many possible ways to look at it that I'm just trying to get started.
What is significant?
-looking between the lines
-fishy is in red
-title is: not another one
-submit button mentions ears and poetry.
stumper
The haiku says, "Look another stage!" how about a theater stage
" Can't you understand every clue played here" a mystery play
"fishy" -who knows
the source says look between the lines - like lines in a play?
that's poetry to my ears? they do poems in plays right!!?
Thats what I'm thinking about.
