I did that, but still....ı can switch that thing on and off, but it doesn't seem to change anything.

Sorry, i am just going around in the room, found the screwdriver, the bill in the bin. Climbed up to the ceiling and stuck.

It seems you're stuck at the same point as Zippy, so:

Look at the thermostat behind the plant and switch it of.
