can't seem to use

brass key or hammer anywhere and there's nothing under the blue flowers

Use the hammer on a floorboard to the right of the blue flowers.

The brass key is for a chest in the bedroom.

Been at this for hours now and stuck with the puzzle in the car...I even looked at the Walkthrough but I just don't get it...I sometimes get something to loose it the next round...
I do like this game but just not that puzzle...need to give up now...

Yvonne, it automatically saves the game for you, provided you start replaying at the same place (i.e. Gamershood in i.e., not EG24 in Google Chrome).
Yes, I'm finally out!! I wonder what the wrong year was? 1983?
