what the hell do you write when prompted?

the demon asks you about your childhood memories, so it presumably involves the fishing rod. Typing that, or quoteing the description of the rod does nothing.

And theres no response when you phone brian, how are you supposed to know what to write?

I have the same problem. I don't know what to write either. BUT, I have managed to input the right combination on the plugs so all the black empty ones are on the right, I don't know how to replace the pipe thing though. I thought maybe if I clicked on it one of the items I have will have worked or something, but I click on it and nothing happens, the mouse icon changes back to the normal white hand. Since you have no inventory I figured items would work on their own, but I guess not. I am confused.
