:shy: well I didn't WANT to do it.. it kind of just happened :shy:

It was some experiment, with taking clorophyl out of leaves or something, it was biology/chemistry... but our physics teacher was taking it, so no wonder it all went wrong!! :P

anyway, we kinda had to heat some acid stuff over a bunsen burner, and well i kinda turned around to chat with some friends... then I felt something that felt like water..
I turned around "OI JAMES STOP IT!! (I thought he was flicking water at me...) anyway, it turned out that the acid was spitting on me... I screamed, jumped up, knowcked the table, the bunsen burner fell over..... and well the rest his history.. :S

kind of bad really, I got in a lottt of trouble, they said it was all my fault and I had about 2 weeks of detention :sad:


@ doglover, no i haven't left, I was playing a game I downloaded.. then was recalling this horrific incident :haha:

btw, it's very true, I even have little burn marks on my hand to prove it :P

@ doglover - it only got a little burnt, just a few blisters, it was only little spots where the acid spitted on my hand, but its nothing major - you only notice it when it's pointed out :P
but yeah... it was an accident - I was far to talkative and cheeky at school, but I think most the teachers knew I didn't mean any harm! :angel: :haha:



@ crimson - lol... well it wasn't my physics tacher that was mad.. it was the head of science (he was verrry scary) but the thing was he put me in detention, until I wrote a statement about what had happened, admitting it was all my fault!! I should have told my parents really, but I was actually really scared! looking back though, I think he was a little out of order..

thats why detention took 2 weeks, because i refused to write that it was my fault for ages, I guess he didn't want me to sue :haha: imagine a 15 year old kid, even thinking about sueing their school!! I was more worried about this boy I fancied!! :P :haha:

but I still loooooved high school!!

I just know that, in elemenary, one of our science rules is "Don't Fool Around." And I think that chatting with your friends instead of watching your experiment would qualify as fooling around. :P I don't know that I would have given 2 weeks of detention, but... :haha:

@Shining--this is my first year. I've spent the last 3 years just trying to get hired, so I've been substituting/tutoring for different districts before now. Anda.... no, I'm not a favorite teacher... I have high expectations for my students, and they're trying to test the boundaries right now. So I'm not exactly nice all the time. However, I do try to make learning interactive and fun for the kids... but bottom line, I'm not there to be their friend--I'm there to help them learn and become productive citizens in the real world.

:shy: Well, when I got my bunny Joep, he was all felt and his half long hair is too fine to shave off, so I had to comb and brush it all out. He wasn't that cute in the beginning, he was well-known as the pitbull rabbit (:haha:) so it was a real torturing for him. :( Took me weeks before every felt and knot was removed and my arms were covered with bite and scratch marks. :P And this all with the result that he still hates every comb he sees and attacks it. :P

And the same for of our bunny, Fritz. ;) Btw Joep is a real cutie now. :) Only not when he must be combed. :P But he behaves himself, he just don't really find it pleasuring. ;) And I believe your turtle is much more easier. ;)

No I didn't finished my study. I got a burn out in September/October 2006 and when i finally was back on my feet, I missed so much that it was impossible to graduate. Then I found out that I was pregnant and we got the news we finally could move. So I still have to finish my last year. I will finish my study at home (self-study). First the theory and then the traineeships. It's really great this is possible in the Netherlands. :) I can thus combine my mothership with my study. And the best part of being a paraveterinay is that there are only part-time jobs in my working field. :D

@Escape.. No that missed us completely, thought we would get some rain then but we didn't. This is just your run of the mill thunderstorm. I haven't seen the weather in a while I know there is another tropical storm out there but I'm not sure if it's headed our way or not. I think I'll check
