07-15-2009, 00:07:26
I can't believe no one else has posted here recently! I bought a ticket to the special midnight screening tonight. :D

07-15-2009, 00:15:21
I want to see it so badly, but I've watched one before when it was a full house, and there were kids climbing over the seats, doing gymnastic/tumbling moves in front of the screen on the ground, people talking to their friends on their cells, and people recording it with their cells. So....I have to force myself to wait until it's less packed. :P But I WANT to see it. :D

07-15-2009, 02:50:02
Yuck..... Hopefully it won't be so bad tonight. :S

07-15-2009, 04:07:41
yay finally it's out! but i don't think i'll go today since the cinemas will be PACKED...
i can't wait to finally get to see it, it's gonna be awesome :D

hmm well the reviews on tv all look positive :)
gonna go see it tomorrow before my friend goes to tahiti

07-15-2009, 09:52:52
Simply amazing. Best yet.

07-15-2009, 18:47:59
OMG by far best movie ever let alone best HP movie:)

It stuck to the book amazingly. I will be seeing it again for sure.
and the audience was dead quiet the whole time taking in every moment. At the end people were crying and like silent. It was great! didn't get to sleep til like 5 cuz I was so pumped haha

07-15-2009, 20:36:44
:haha: Sounds like me, Mcakkay! I got home at 3 AM, and didn't go to sleep till 5 AM. I dreamt the movie all night and woke up thinking about it.

I agree, it stuck pretty closely to the book. A few key details were changed, but the storyline and the majority of the events were accurate. I love Snape!

07-15-2009, 22:49:56
Yea that was perfect..especially when
Harry was watching from underneath and Snape said shhh, then goes up and kills Dumbledore. It wasn't in the book but I thought it was good cuz now Harry will hate him so much more you know.

I want to see it agaiinnnn!

07-16-2009, 01:20:28
Too big of a spoiler!!! :( If I hadn't seen the movie or read the book, and clicked that spoiler by mistake, I would be very mad at you. :P :haha:

Snape has always been one of my favorite characters, only I wasn't sure why till the last book. :haha:

The movie got released today in Israel. Can't wait till I watch it :D

07-16-2009, 14:24:58
I have to wait another week before it comes to Croatia :'( But I already made reservations for the opening night! Can't wait!!

"Warner Bros. Pictures' Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince earned an estimated $22.2 million for its 3,003 midnight screenings (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=57179)":o:o

Oh, and I heard they are splitting movie 7 in two parts. They won't be able to leave anything out and it would be too long for one movie. That's ok, I just hope we won't have to wait too long between the movies

07-16-2009, 19:58:16
They said Part 7 will be out late 2010 and then the second part during the summer of 2011. I'm glad they're not going to cut out important parts, though. Makes the story better, and they'll be able to follow the book more closely. :D

I can't wait to see it, but I hate crowded theaters, so I'm making myself wait a bit. :P

07-17-2009, 02:19:24
i got some of the first tickets for me and my friends
WOOHOO opeing day
i diddnt really like the half blood price
i just saw it but im sorta dissopented with the ending insted of a big fanally its just...ova
people also said it was to long but its like olny 4 minuets ova transformers 2 so ha lol

07-17-2009, 12:55:23
I just read they are releasing part 1 of movie 7 in November 2010 and part 2 in July 2011...8 months...:S

And regarding what Carmit said, I also read that they had to move the finale of movie 6 to the beginning of movie 7 because of the duration... :( So it really just...ends?? :S:(

07-17-2009, 14:56:23
I thought the ending was perfect. It does cut out a bit from the end of the book, but I thought it was very powerful in its simplicity.

07-17-2009, 23:14:01
I guess I'll just have to wait and judge for myself :)

and wait...and wait...and wait...

07-18-2009, 05:41:53
i saw it yesterday night and i thought it was really good :D the special effects were amazing. but i kinda felt like nothing really happened in the movie, i don't know how to really explain it but it just felt like...the story went too fast and i know they couldn't make it any longer but i felt they left too much out :S

07-20-2009, 18:30:00
I saw the latest one on Saturday night. I thought they did a fine job of ending the movie considering how the books flow so easily from one to another. I really enjoyed the movie, though. :)

07-24-2009, 13:14:54
Finally saw the movie yesterday and absolutely loved it! It was funny, intense, sometimes scary, romantic, special effects were amazing etc...:D This was the only book I read only once and I don't remember it so well so I couldn't notice which parts were cut out. That's partly the reason why I think this was the best one yet :) Seriously, people shouldn't read books before watching a movie :P:D

04-30-2010, 15:01:10
i wasnt a fan of the latest film but its gonna be better int eh next films both aprt 1 & 2 so i am not too sad or angry

10-12-2010, 11:38:54
i am going to marry her this i swear

11-21-2010, 13:26:19
Has anyone seen the new film thats out now, the frst part of the deathly hallows????
What does anyone think out it? I thought the forst part of the book was a bit 'quiet' and therefore wondered if the film was going to be as well???

I enjoy Harry Potter and love the books. I have read them all except the final one, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". My daughter has had her head buried in it for two days now, and I will be the next to read it.
These books stir the imagination and paint incredible pictures on our brains, children and adult alike.
We have seen the first Harry Potter movie, "The Sorcerers Stone". It was a disappointment in that it stole our imagination, and forever more when we read the books, we see the Harry from the movie, the Snape from the movie , the Hogwarts from the movie, and so on. We can't recall the others from our imagination, pre-movie!!
The original Harry Potter movie resembled the book as closely as possible. They did an amazing job, but regardless, the scene with the unicorn in the woods and Voldemort floating above with blood dripping from his mouth, burned a horrifying vision on my daughter's memory. The book never affected her in a negative way, but the visual seared a clear and lasting image. This leads me to the issue of movie ratings. Who in their right mind comes up with these G ratings? Are they insane or just childless? The only other explanation is that they are completely desensitized to the visual violence and terrifying images.
