cant do 14 with no box but for the others run your cursor over the test it will change from a hand to a line type there, for the ninja run cursor over the word ninja you will see it change

pigy152
06-24-2007, 22:59:50
sorry, no clue. i still only have the ones listed above. if you need help on those then just ask.

Mistery
06-24-2007, 23:00:34
Jack, what do you mean with the black ones :?

jack
06-24-2007, 23:02:50
The black ones are added with several others when you solve a certain amount. They appear to the right of the ones you start out with. They are jumbles of letters that I assume must be deciphered.

I have three black and three blue left, assuming more aren't added.

Hayles
06-24-2007, 23:06:04
i got an extra line of coloured ones but no black ones i have 24 out of 35 so far and stuck!

jack
06-24-2007, 23:16:48
From the original bunch I still need 5 and 14, a blank one and the one with morse code with no place to put the answer. I know the code for that one, but I'm not sure where to put it. If you need help on any I have solved please let me know.

psychobitch182
06-24-2007, 23:30:16
You are probably putting a letter as 2 if its 2 letters because thats what it looks like but its only one letter

ie your working it out as -- .. but its --.. just 1 letter

jack
06-24-2007, 23:37:42
Thanks for the hint, I got the morse code one now but not the other one. I'll keep looking on that one.

Got all the blank ones now. I have the three black ones left now and a light blue one.

Here are hints for the non-stereogram ones you need:

It's hard to give a hint for one, but there is a pattern to counting the digits. For example there are twenty 9s in 1 to 100. Multiply that times 10 and add 100 for how many 9s in 1 to 1000. Repeat that process up to a million and you will have the answer.
For nine brute force is very easy here. You know the number will be small just by the question.
The clue given earlier for 12 was a good one. Look outside the box for the answer.
For 15 just look for the mistake, and put the correction as the answer. If you can't find it on your own try to use a spell checker
For 16 look up what a coefficient is if you don't know. The answer is extremely easy if you do.
For 17 CAPS
For 18 here is a clue: abracadabra
For 23 I again brute forced it. I tried 1 to 1000 without any success, so I switched to multiples of 1000 after that. It took a couple of minutes using brute force once I tried multiples of 1000. I'm guessing renegade is a physics major :)
For 24 : First letters
For 25: Use an online cryptogram solver and it will pretty much give you the answer. Oneacross.com works great.
For 26: As Bug's would say "What's up ____?"

If anybody has any ideas on the black ones or the light blue one in the second group of new questions I would love to hear them.

Thanx Jack!!!

How am I supposed to understand the second puzzle in the second row? What 100th number? :S

jack
06-25-2007, 02:14:05
Look up coefficient on wikipedia. It is really, really easy. The answer is actually right there in front of you.

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 02:17:10
I know what coefficient means, but I mean the 100th number in what row of numbers? From 1 to 100, all the even numbers, what? :S

Okay, got it although I don't understand the question.

I'm stuck on the last 4 on the first (new) line; the 1st (originally #1) one of the 1st line; the 5th (originally #12) one of the 3rd line and the 2nd (originally #16) one of the 4th line. I've found the clues, but I'm not sure how they apply.
Can anyone help me please?

Coolio daFabio
06-25-2007, 02:28:21
I can't get the Greek one. I came up with nosiueb?
Also what do you do with the orange ones?

SamWyatt
06-25-2007, 02:33:13
ok I've now done #12
Coolio: copy and paste the text that you reveal onto BabelFish and it should appear before you translate it! And for the orange ones you have to find a word that goes before the other three.
Hope that helps

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 02:34:49
jack, is there a way to calculate the puzzle with the jump off of a tall building or did you just brute force that as well?

EDIT: Oh nevermind, I realized that was puzzle 16, so you'd already answered that.

EDIT 2: Okay is it possible to get a hint for either of these? The traffic light, the Pepsi, the stereogram next to the Pepsi (I CAN'T do those things! :S), the film/y/ing on, the strange morse code that puts 12 dots and dashes, and the cipher one, the last two both in fourth row and cyan.

jack
06-25-2007, 02:44:25
I know what coefficient means, but I mean the 100th number in what row of numbers? From 1 to 100, all the even numbers, what? :S

Okay, got it although I don't understand the question.

In Pascal's triangle the 100th number in the 100th row is 100. I believe that is what he intended.

I needed somebody to PM the stereogram ones to me as well. I can send them to you if you want.

For the traffic light one not all colors can be seen.

For the pepsi one look at first letters of each line.

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 02:47:50
Okay thanks jack. Never would've thought of that. :S

And look in post 19, answers for 4 of the 5 stereograms are written there. It's the top one I don't have. :(

And send what to me? The stereogram ones?

EDIT: Oh sorry, I thought it said you NEED someone to send them to you, not needed. :P But yes, if you have the one next to the Pepsi one, I'd like that. :)

jack
06-25-2007, 02:49:25
Okay thanks jack. Never would've thought of that. :S

And look in post 19, answers for 4 of the 5 stereograms are written there. It's the top one I don't have. :(

And send what to me? The stereogram ones?

Yes, I'll give you hints on the other ones. I can't give hints on the stereogram ones since I can't see them.

For the film/y/ing on one The film threw me off on this one. Think film like plastic wrap, not film like movie.

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 02:50:47
Great, the traffic light one just gave me 15 more! :o

jack
06-25-2007, 02:53:55
the strange morse code that puts 12 dots and dashes, and the cipher one, the last two both in fourth row and cyan.

I'm not sure which ones you mean for these.

By last two do you mean the color one and the "did you read the instructions" one?

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 03:00:32
I mean the 2nd and 4th in the 4th row.

SamWyatt
06-25-2007, 03:04:46
for the 4th one in the 4th row, I suggest you use cryptogram solver! ;)

I can't do the driving ones. I don't drive so have never experienced any of these things!!! Help please

jack
06-25-2007, 03:08:27
Okay:

The morse code one:

The spacing is not correct after the first letter. You need to readjust the spacing to spell a word.

For the cipher:

I used oneacross.com. It will decode everything but the answer correctly. There will be a few letters that are certain in the answer though, and if you use the crossword dictionary portion of the site there won't be many words that come back. I didn't decode the answer by the method mentioned after deciphering the rest of it since it really wasn't necessary.

SamWyatt: I brute forced the octave/driving one. After doing 1 to 1000 without any luck I switched to multiples of a thousand and got it that way. It didn't take long. I'll narrow it down a little further for you:

It's >20000 and <70000

For the second driving one its a color outside the visible spectrum

Did the third set of questions open up for either of you? I still need four of them over there; Three black ones and a cyan one.

Swim Girl
06-25-2007, 03:26:04
how do you get the additional levels

jack
06-25-2007, 03:27:37
You get them automatically after solving a certain amount of levels.

Swim Girl
06-25-2007, 03:29:18
how many

edit i have 14 done

SamWyatt
06-25-2007, 03:30:42
Okay, now I've got the other 15 and I've only managed to solve 5 of them! :(
I'm all brained out for tonight, I'll have another go when I've recovered sufficiently! GL all

jack
06-25-2007, 03:32:39
There are 22 more levels besides the ones you start with. As far as how many it takes to open them up I don't know exactly. I had about 80% of them done when I got them. You get 7 extra levels first, and then an additional 15 after that.

Swim Girl
06-25-2007, 03:32:50
whats the _____ film
one

jack
06-25-2007, 03:34:09
Think film like plastic wrap, not film like movie.

Swim Girl
06-25-2007, 03:35:28
ok ill try that

edit: yay i got it

ok for #9 the *(a+b)^100 one
how do you solve it

jack
06-25-2007, 04:01:39
Look at my posts on page 3 and 4 for the answer and explanation.

I think I'm going to head to bed soon. I've made no progress what so ever on the four remaining levels. I think if somebody solves one of the black ones the other ones will fall into place. The cyan one looks very similar to the black ones, so I don't know if there is a connection or not.

Swim Girl
06-25-2007, 04:08:19
i got it

where did u go to solve the morse code ones

or just google

jack
06-25-2007, 04:11:30
This site is easy to use for decoding the morse code levels.

www.scouting.org/fun/morse/index.html

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 04:13:34
jack, I got the bottom black one.

Colours

jack
06-25-2007, 04:16:34
It doesn't seem to work for me. I see the colors in capital letters, is that a clue to decode it or the answer?

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 04:18:23
Remove the colors. ;)

Swim Girl
06-25-2007, 04:21:59

jack
06-25-2007, 04:22:41

ThemePark

06-25-2007, 04:30:58

and Brazil and Germany

England, India, and United States of America.

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 04:38:54
And Argentina. :)

jack
06-25-2007, 04:43:10
Alright, Spain can also be found. but with the letters I have left it's not possible. If I put India back in it is possible though. I'm not sure which is correct.

Got it. Use Spain, not Italy. 1 to go now. Thanks again Themepark.

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 04:48:09
It's Spain. :)

Hmm, I'm having trouble with a couple of puzzles, besides the many orange ones. The white screen, top row, number 10, I found the word though, just can't find a place to put it. And the mixture of coloured letters, third row, number 8. Would you mind giving me a hint for those two, jack?

You're very welcome. :D

jack
06-25-2007, 05:01:32
White box:

For the white one it is similar to the other blank ones. Look outside the box (It's extremely tiny and hard to find) The answer also goes outside the box

For the one with all the letters there are two real clues:

Terry and Wash are two real clues for the level with all the colored letters.

Any ideas on the cyan one that looks like the black ones?

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 05:03:54
I don't know if I'm overthinking this, but for the last cyan level you're missing, could it have any significance that there are quite a few places where a letter is written twice next to each other?

jack
06-25-2007, 05:08:15
I was thinking it could be a cryptogram without spaces. Using the theory that one of those could mean "password" I tried to replace the double letter ones with it. That theory didn't work though. I will try your idea, maybe you have to erase all the double letters for the answer.

Didn't work

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 05:14:24
I must admit, that didn't get me much further. :S I can't figure out what those clues mean, and on the white level the textbox really must be tiny. Could you give me a little more precise hint for the white level?

jack
06-25-2007, 05:19:52
For the white level:

Look to the right of the colored dots.

For the other one look at it this way:

Both blanks can be filled with the same word Terry _____ Wash_____.

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 05:26:58
Oh, you were talking about the answer being tiny. I had already found the answer, and thought you meant the textbox to write it in.

And this is EXACTLY why I'm only stuck on the orange ones now.

But thanks. :)

jack
06-25-2007, 05:30:25
You got the cyan one?

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 05:33:24
Nope, I'm sure the double letters are important somehow but I don't have any ideas left. :(

Okay, finally got the terry one, but no wonder I couldn't figure it out, I've never heard of that word before. :S

jack
06-25-2007, 05:52:58
Here is the letter count on the cyan one. I don't know if it helps any. It seems f is the most common letter, followed by m.

a=4 k=6 o=9 m=16 h=13 f=19 l=9 s=13 q=8 x=7 b=9 p=15 w=11 y=2 e=2 d=5 g=4 v=5 m=2 j=1 u=1 r=1 n=1 t=1

ThemePark
06-25-2007, 06:08:40
Well, I don't see anything, and since you couldn't fit in password (I tried as well), it doesn't seem like it's that simple.

I'm completely stuck on 3 orange ones. :( Could you possibly give me a hint for film/y/ing on, /tor/k/ile and tor/per/battle?

I can't think of any words that fit into. :S

Static ______

I think it's time to call it a night. It's a shame when all we're missing is that cyan one. :( But good luck with that, I hope you'll be able to figure something out.

okay...so I need help with
top row (after all the new ones are added)
#6 (rainbow colored circle, it's one of the "hidden words" ones, I just can't make my eyes work that way! ) ; #7 purple, with all the lists...I have no clue; #9 black, I know it has something to do with countries, but I'm still not getting it; #11 orange ground, y, play
second row
#8 cyan I've noticed that everyone else is still stumped on this one too...
#9 black the one with the religions
#10 purple another one with a bunch of lists
row 3,
#5 the light blue one...I highlighted "votixed" but not sure how to decipher...unless the last letter isn't a "d"???
fourth row
#6 green I've tried every combination for the "first letter of each color shown" so I'm thinking that I am calling one of the colors by a different name than the author???
#8 cyan morse code...I'm thinking that the spacing is off???
#9 black...the one with the colors...I don't understand the clue about removing the colors???
#10 orange sceles, tope, mer...not sure?
bottom row, the only one I'm off on is the first letter of all the colors shown...probably same reason as the other one...

thanks for any help!!!

count how many times the number 9 shows up when you count from 1-100...20 multiply that by 10 and then add 100 this gives you the number of 9's from 1-1000 300

now take that number, multiply it by 10 and add 1,000 this gives you the number of 9's from 1-10,000 4,000

now take that number, multiply it by 10 and add 10,000 this gives you the number of 9's from 1-100,000 50,000

now take that number, multiply it by 10 and add 100,000...and you have the answer!!! 600,000

@ Me See You....I have gotten a couple of the ones you need help on:

relax your eyes as state above, and then a word should appear. :)

Use morse code to decode it.

Read the the sentence VERY carefully. You'll see an error in it.

Again, another typo. Pay attention to small details such as punctuation

Relax your eyes again. Will show one word. Sort of look at it out of focus a bit.

That's all I have of the ones you needed help on. Hope I helped. :)

Not everyone can see them. I have tried for years to see those things with no luck. If you have a decent photo editor you can sometimes manipulate them to see the message that way. Alternately I believe the answers for the stereograms are all listed in this thread.

row 3 number number 7 blue - don't know where to put my answer. It's the long morse text.
row 4 number 2 cyan - don't know the answer, just a short one

both rows after I've got all questions. It's a little bit confusing with the counting. In the beginning it would be 2/7 and 3/2

This might answer your question :)

The black ones are added with several others when you solve a certain amount. They appear to the right of the ones you start out with. They are jumbles of letters that I assume must be deciphered.

I have three black and three blue left, assuming more aren't added.
