i just don't really like the loading inbetween rooms because my computer stinks and it takes like an hour. but i think that the game is pretty good. i am a big Myst fan and this is very reminiscent of that game.

all i have done so far is find a key and a gem which i obtained by placing a golden egg into a box. i can't get any further. and what's up with that lever?

the lever determines if you can get into the basement or not. If you leave it alone and just press on the wood planks covering the door then you can get into the basement

bout the triangle puzzle:

The device in room 2F north is not the puzzle itself. First go to the room where you woke up and have a look at all four dishes on the tables. Look closely at the shape of those dishes and the color of the balls in them (some are hard to distinguish, watch out you don't get the colors wrong). Then use the device in 2F north to get a triangle for every shape. In one of the rooms in the basement the shapes as well as the triangles will reappear. Enter the right triangles in the right place and your done. You might have to solve another puzzle first to activate the levers but I'm not really sure about that.

finally solved the library puzzle.

The hint is on a piece of paper somewhere on the fourth floor in the room with the sun and moon puzzle.

Thinks I still didn't solve:
- hand drawing behind the elevator in 1f north
- moon door in basement next to the second elevator engine
- the book with the 3x3 dot matrix. Don't know what those are for.
- the equations in the library
- what to do with the dagger/egg from the exhibition room after I picked them up

About the equations:

The numbers for four of the symbols can be found in the tea room on the first or second floor. Look at the bubbles. First I thought one of them is broken but it does exactly what it should. Then go to the library and use the books and scales to find out about the numbers for the other symbols. The symbols are the same as the strange dial in the second room on the third floor so I guess they are related somehow. I don't know which moon phase is the right one and I don't know what to do with the number I would get from this so I'm stuck with this puzzle right now.

just solved the puzzle with the blue sliders:

Figure out the numbers in the library. You need to map the numbers form 0 to 9 to the symbols. The numbers 0, 1, 2 and 3 can be found in the tearoom. For the others you'll need the scales and one of the books from the library. When you stand in front of the drawing with the hand in 1F north do what it says and look up. You'll see a moon. Jot down what it looks like and go to the machine on the third floor. Choose the right moon and fiind out which numbers correspond to the symbols which you see when you select the right moon. Put the slides in 1F north in the right position (0 is botton, 9 is top). Try to close the panel and listen for a sound. If you did it right the wardrobe will move to the side and a door will appear. Go outside and pick up the fruits of your labor...

the sun disc

is in the bottomless room on the third floor. You need to raise the bridge/stairs and go past the spiral staircase, the long room and the exhibition room to get there from the other side.

which pot to take (in the cage room)

can be read in the book on the third floor right next to the door with the five clocks puzzle. Can't describe it because they are all flowers...

I'll tell you the symbols and the numbers (don't know if they change but i don't think so) try to use as few spoilers as possible.

the first four numbers can be found in the teamroom on the first or second floor. the heart is zero, the single spiral is one, the five pointed star is two and the moon is three.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
the next numbers can be found out when you look at the two scales in the library and the single book next to one of the scales

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
the flower is five (moon plus star)

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
the jagged circle is seven (flower + star)

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
as we want to use the numbers from zero to nine we have only 4, 6 and 8 left

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
the intersection ellipses is six, the flower with the four petals is four and the four pointed star is eight.

to solve the blue sliders
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
look up where the hand points upwards. There is a moon at the ceiling. Try to remember it or draw it. Go to the third floor into the room with the pedestal in the pool of water. Enter the moon from the elevator room and write down the numbers corresponding to the symbols (see above spoilers) und enter these numbers in the sliders. Zero is bottom, nine is top. Close the lid after you positioned the sliders otherwise the mechanism won't trigger. The numbers are different for everyone so I can't tell you yours.

the solution to 3f center
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
is on a piece of paper on the floor in the opposite corner of the same room.

Hope this helps some of you.

Me again.. Just correcting myself... I have all the triangles for each shape, but the levers in the basement won't move... and I cant seem to find anything else that would have to be completed... other than the door with the little squares with bear, bird, fish and stick person..

Help!!

What are you supposed to do with the bells on the second floor? Are you just supposed to guess the order and # of times to ding it???

Ceders-
How did you get so good at these games? i always try but end up having to resort to a walkthrough. i bow down to your intellect.

CEDERS

YOu need to use the pot with flower in the book in the cabinet in the library.

Give the apple to the woman in the painting where the elevators are but don't ask me what to do then because I don't know.

Don't know about sword and dagger, though. I think the sword is important in the end and you just need to have it when you finish. Don't know what the dagger might be used for but always keep in mind that you might have an egg instead of the dagger if you had chosen otherwise. The dagger might still be the wrong decision and you can't reverse it.
One half of the solution to the square puzzle is in the room where the tiles puzzle and the 3x3 puzzle is.

The other half is in one of the rooms which you can only reach by the teleporter on the second floor.

You need to find the password in the room where the sword is to get to that room.

OOps, that's it! You need to use the dagger in the room with the square puzzle, in the hole where you zoom in!

CEDERS

I don't know if it is always the same solution to the heart puzzle but try this:

The buttons correspond to the symbols in the octagonal room; the heart is the door of that room. You need to press the buttons in the following order: wind, fire, water, earth, tower, light, dark and finally the heart. This is written down in one of the books according to the nordinho guys.

Count the buttons clockwise beginning with the heart as number one. Then press the buttons in the following order: 5, 4, 8, 3, 6, 7, 2, 1. That should do the trick.

The square puzzle is somewhere behind the heart puzzle but there are the number puzzle, the 3x3 matrix puzzle, and the tiles puzzle in between so be patient if you haven't solved those yet.

The moon dial on the third floor in the basin is not the moon and sun puzzle. The real moon and sun puzzle is on the fourth floor.

To Di:
1) To get to the buttons behind the elevator in 1F north
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
go up with the elevator, climb down the ladder and reenter 1F north. The elevator is still on the second floor and you can acess the panel

2) Could you be a bit more specific which room you're talking about? The one behind the moon door or the one in front of it. Either way the solution should be in one of the comments above.
3) I think I posted a spoiler somewhere explaining where to get the necessary hints to solve this. I don't really want to get more specific about it as this isn't really hard once you found the hint and I'm quite sure you'll find it if you read all of the 200+ comments.
I stopped playing the game and I think I told you just about everything I know so good luck and have fun guys, you're on your own now.

how dit you get the blue gem and the knife? where should i look?

Ok, room 1F west has a dresser with a big stupid thing with pages on it and drawers, well in one of the drawers you'll find a golden egg. Then you put the golden egg in the box on the table on the other end of the room (kinda like a key) One of the gems

I think!!! that the other gem was in the basement, in the room where there's like a bassin of water, well you turn the lever thing next to it to fill with water and you can reach the box.

Knife - I absolutely don't remember

Stick thing - If you have a key (also, no idea) you can open a small door in one of the rooms in the basement and there it is

Hope this helps.. but its been a few days and Im having difficulty remembering

Don't worry, you'll find doors for the keys, just try..
and the gem you need when you found four of them, in a special place.

In the basement you can get when you first go into the room, I think it was 1F east and from that room to 1F south east, take away the wooden thing from the door, back to the center and open the door, maybe you noticed already that it was closed with a second wooden door?, by pulling this thind right to the door (sorry, my english is not so got as I want it to be.. :$ ) and then you can open the trapdoor.

Please anybody tell me how to get the water in the empty bottle to get the floweressence.

Thanks for your reply.

My english isn't as good as I'd want it to be either.

I've been in the basement (more than once), but I can only go down the trapdoor (that you open with the lever) and than I end up in a room with a flower on the floor (basement east). I don't know how to reach other parts of the basement.

I don't know what else to do either, at this point.

I can't seem to find keys to room 2f north and some rooms on 1f.
I can't go up to the third floor.

I'm hopeless, I know;-)

Tarya Nórui
12-20-2005, 22:42:29
So when you are really hopeless go to the nordinho forum (link is in post 67) look there post 274. In this game is so much to do and to find out...

You have to get the machine to work in the basement. What I still remember:
there is a waterbassin, fill it up and take what is in the box, somewhere you find a key, was it in the drawer? Look also for down-arrow, sometimes you find special things there. In the other room open the door and take what ever is there. Than you'll find this triangel puzzle.

You have to look in room 2FW for the forms of the bowls and the colour of the balls, than in 2FN in this small machine click the right colours and remember the form s: which bowl get which triangel. In one room in the basement you have this triangle puzzle, click the handle until the richt triangel appears. I think you'll have to start the machine first???

Another thing: in the room in the middle you have to click the right things. Look in the room where you find only a table, nothing to do. Some things on the table are missing. Ah, to get into that room:
above both lights, middle right down left (or was it middle left and down right?)

Than is the last machine. Look around how you have to move the sliders, there is a paper with picture. Pull the handle and now you should be able to use the elevator. I hope!
So good luck and - where are you from?

And please, please tell me when you find somewhere a glass of water to take away... or a bottle with water... or something you can carry water in.

Or is there some else who already knows?? I need the flower essence! :'(

Bottle of water, that is.

You made the triangles, now write them down. Remember the shape of the bowl you found the balls in. Then go to the basement. I think you are in the room where are some white pictures on the wall (I hope...) you can go there around and on one side is a stairs. Go down and find all the other things.. There is another basement, but I don't think that you are in it now, you have to do some more things first.
And don't forget to save sometimes! :D

So when you from Netherlands you understand also german? Just in case there is something to hard to explain in english? Nice thing is, my english is getting better all the time while reading and writing here.

The numbers are for a different puzzle and for this round things you will find three papers with same round things and letters in it. And then an empty paper you have to do something to to get a password...

Which slides do you mean? The ones in the basement? You have to do the puzzle in the room in the middle first - so if I remember right - and after that you just move them with the mouse and pull the handle.

First look the colour of the balls and shape of the bowls. (2 east)
Go to 2 nord and open the machine at the end of the room. Click the spots in the right colour and note the triangles with the right bowlshape. Maybe helpful to make numbers to the corners in the machine, 1 on the top and then clockwise so it might be easyer to remember.
Go to the basement, the room with the triangelpuzzle. Pull the handle as often as you need to get the right triangles. You noticed the shape appears also there?

I solved the triangle puzzle (I was looking for levers in the wrong room!) and the slides in the basement.
Found the red gem etc.

I was now stuck with the round thing in the pentacle room and the blue slides behind the hand picture in 1f north.

Also, I can't dip the raper with blank circles in the bassin...

I tried to save the game, but that doesn;t work, so I kept it minimalized, but my s.o. has been at the computer and now I have to start all over again!

Yes, I do understand some German, but I am terrrible at writing it.
So I might reply in English.

I'm sure on of the walkthroughs talks about the library key, but there's so much...

Good Luck hunting for it!

I'll let you know if I find out.

Yes, japanese would be helpful. I believe there is a nice story with this game - if we only were able to understand. :(

I didn't mean to write in german, just when there is missing a nessassary word. I also understand a little bit dutch but can't speak or write it myself. Just as much as it is close to german.

But now I really have to learn for school and hope someone will write me WHERE TO FIND THIS :@ KEY!!!!!!!!

You have to look at the containers with balls in the tea room.

Remember (write down) each shape and the colours of the balls.

Then go to the machine in 2f north.

Click the colours corresponding to the balls in each container, so for example: gree, teal, white (square container). Remember or write down the form of triangle you get.

Then make this triangle in the basement on the cooresponding pedestal using the levers that are there.

Hope this helps.

You have to turn on the power first though I think.

With the big light and the slides etc. (in the basement)

Well I found the solution to the lights puzzle.

It was a bowl of water, not a bassin (small difference to me).

I now know the letters, but I have to find out where they are on the circle.

I have seen at least ten notes with open circles and letters on them, I think, but now I can only find two!

(BTW I'm having a real life parallel of this with some Christmas stuff I know i found back but now I don't know where. My house needs to be ordered I guess.)

I found the last jewel ( the green one, behind the wall).
Then I put them in the wooden door and managed to get it right.
I think I took an elevator there and ended up in basement souhwest.

I tried to take a flower pot, but I got locked up so i put them back.

Now I can't get out, I can only go down by the ladder and then back up to where I am now.

You have to find the elevator, it is still there!
And then you find a glass of water somewhere, I think it was on the 3rd floor, but I am not shure, somewhere in a board. I was looking a long time for it. With that and the empty bottle you can go back and get one of the flowerpots. You need it there where I am stucked, in the library.

But trust me. The elevator has to be there!

Tarya Nórui

Or look post 78.

Otherwise it's middle left and lower right.

I solved the puzzle in the green room, but all I got was a look at the ceiling with the flower...
Did I do something wrong?

I can't find the sun disc for the life of me, I know it's supposed to be in the room with no floor on the 3rd, but no matter from wich side I enter the room, I can't find it, all I see is the bridge and two doors.

There is a room where you find a table you can't move anything there. Go and look exactly what is missing (Three things) and then put the things in the room on that place - off course in the basement room there on the machines.

The other question: yes, I got help in the nordinho forum: there is a paper in the green room, very hard to find in the window, and there you find exactly which number belong to which board.

I'm now on the place where I have to put some japanese words in. Found a hint to do that with copying into painting program and then copying in the game. The other forum is out of order for some hours but maybe someone can just tell me, how to copy from paint to the game. Or doesn't it work with firefox? I never tried that before so I don't know how to do.

You can learn in this game a lot of things.

Still missing some pages in my book (19, 26, 27, 43)
I know that Karis only giving me right advice when I have pages 26+27
I solved the puzzle anyway, but maybe thats why I don't find other things?

The prince is talking with me and then vanishing away. He should give me something.

The 3rd elevator is not working, I can't find the room with the bells.
And I found something about rings I should get? And a black sword?

So if there's anyone out there to tell me something I'm missing...
Maybe I've just to wait that you get your dog and then you'll find out everything and help me. :nuppy:

There is something, kind of a stick with a moon or so on one side. Click on it and it will fall down. Take it and search for the other door. You will see a handle and with the stick you can open it.

And then you need this numbers, don't know was it you who tried them on the teleport "ages" ago?

I had to do something more but don't remember anymore to get then - after solving the numberpuzzle - from the dark room down to somewhere else.

I think, the rosepot in the library was a good choice - you will see at the end (me too - if we both get there...))

But you live in Finland?

I have no idea about the mirror and the man, I haven't seen those.
I did solve the puzzles you named, the one with the thre lights, the one that makes you turn the weel, and the 6x8 puzzle.

After that you can go down further into the basement by a flight of stairs.
There you find a box puzzle where you have to make figures appear in circles.

(The red gem is here as well, it is in some kind of energy shield, I hit it with my dagger.)

The first half of the clue to this is in the room with the wheel.

I read at the other forum (lazylaces as the other one is still down, or was when I was doing thispuzzle) that the other half is in a room you can only reach by teleporter.
The password is in the room where you found the sword. (look down)

When you use that code on the teleporter, you get transported to a room where you do indeed find the other half of the clue and a puzzle box with foor two digit codes.
The first goes from 0-1, the second from 0-9, the third from 0-3, the fourth from 0-9.

I checked in the book in the library with the numbers in it, but those all start with 4 or 5, so they are not the code.

Rose is good, but I read you have to take the egg if you have the rose.

Who is Karis, the girl in the painting? I gave her the apple but maybe i did click the wrong answer...

I might be on to something concerning the tiles in the basement, I mean the ones where you use the moon hook for the lever.

I'm not sure though. Nordinho post 172 might be about this, but I'm not sure.

did you figure this out yet?

Right now I'm just very tired from reading on screen.

(Not that I've been here all day, even though it might seem that way.)

Your not?
I've sent you a message.

I found somewhere that you can only finish with rose and egg. I'm not that far.. :(

Karis is the girl in the painting. You need some pages or she will not tell you the number you need later. Save game, give her the apple and then talk to her. I found somewhere you have to choose the answers with the questionmark and when there is no 1 - 2 -1 -2 - 2. In all the japanese there is a number.

And I'm still missing page 43. :'(

Well, I can't save the game!

Maybe i should have downloaded it to be able to do that, but I think there's not enough space on my computer available to run it.

I have given her the apple already, can I still talk to her after that?

So I have to start over and take the rose and the egg or the lily and the dagger?

Great... not.

No I wans't here all day.
Well i was here all day on and off.

I found it easier to do the game with 2 windows. One is currently game playing, with screen on the bell cabinet, another browser window opened for running around matching the sound. I draw on a paper with No. 1-7, and match the color as I run around.

Just with that I found out that 4 I thought they were matching and had only 3 left to play around.
Didn't work :'( I'm really not good with that.

Its a long way - but its a way - to try every combination.
But is it so, that when I find the combination, something happens that I know it is right?

Or have I to do something like putting the rings, going to the bellcabinet (or somewhere else :? ) doing something to test????

I wish I would be better with my ears. But I'm not!

Yes, when you've the right order for colored rings, they're light up with a tune.

for me, from low tones to high pitch, the order is Dark Green, Light Green, White, Purple, Dark Red, Red, Blue. So I listen to each bell and find it's place in tune.

This time I took the egg and the rose potion.

I've talked to the girl in the painting a couple of times, but i can't get a number from her. What am I doing wrong? i kept asking questions.

Also, what do I say to the mirror? How can I copy the japanese text? (I'm not good at that kind of stuff.)

Maybe I should wait talking to the mirror (that sounds as if I'm crazy) until I found all the knowledge pages, because the man won't appear without that, will he?

12-24-2005, 13:58:15
Just read that I need knowledge pages 27-29 for talking to the girl.

For the girl, you need to have some pages in your book. 17, 27, 28 They said somewhere. Then you have to talk to her with always using the sentence with a questionmark. When there is no anymore take first - 2 -1 - 2 - 2

I looked in the other forum, I think it was post 406, can't find the right number at the moment, and then I copied it to the place it supposed to be written. Had a little problem with that: I marked the japanese signs, now I don't know the right english word: The first line of your browser or also in other programs, the second row (german it says "bearbeiten") but there you find the copyfunction. So I copied them and put them in with Ctrl+V.
After that you have to look for empty spaces and remove them (5th from the right..)
But the first time the conversation didn't work very well so I went around the house, brought the sword back to 4th floor, don't remember was there something else and that time he gave me a ring. I found out, when you have more pages in your book you might get another ring, but that one is not important for the game.

Is that the basement with this box you need a nomber for?
There is a small table right beside the other one. Is it there?

Oh today I'm more with my :P homework than with playing...

esther
12-24-2005, 15:16:33
Thank you.

i did find page 27, after I saw a screeshot of it. It's so dark in that basement I never so it, even after looking 3 times.

So now I'm back off to Karis and I hope this time she will give me a number.

I have all knowledge pages now except 26.

Or do you have to do a lot of things to get there?
Just tell where you have been and where not. Will try to remember. I'm so stucked with the music and also trying to do my very important homework.

Voi, voi Esther.
And I'm "waiting" for you with the music-game. Getting really tired of that. In nearly four hours did almost half of them. Why I've got such bad ears :'(

Take the fourth position on top, the first in the middle and then the third. There is a paper liing around on a table in the basement.

12-24-2005, 19:04:37
yes, i know, i used parts of it if I didn't remember exactly what I did in the game before.

It does help and of course if you do it for the second or third time it is a lot faster because you know things and have solutions written down.

I did everything before talking to Kais (except making the book pink, because I didn't know if that would have an influence on the conversation and I was going to try that first if this didn't work, but I don't have the game left).
I solved all the puzzles, the ones in the basements etc., got the sword, the egg, the potion, and all knowledge pages except 26, which you seem only to be able to get after talking to Karis.

Oh and I didn't do the figures in 4 circles puzzle yet.

I thought it was no use going down there before I knew what to say to the mirror. (weird still)

So I was rather far, at least I think because I don't know how much comes after that....

But still I think i will at least take a break.

I don't really know, why Karis was talking to me (don't forget to SAVE before you try! :'( ) she didn't and I walked around and did some other stuff. After a while came back and tried again and this time she was willing to talk. And then remember the questionmarks.

You're a perfectionist.

My Christmas was better than expected, i guess. (You know what I mean).

I hope you had a nice Christmas too, even if you had to do your homework.

I am pretty far, but i still can't copy and paste, so i can't talk to the mirror, so I may never end.

My partner is a composer (and cook, but that is nott important here) and has perfect pitch, so I told him the bells from low to high (it's above here somewhere) and had him listen to the melody, but even he couldn't make it out.
He says they're all out of tune, false and that in the melody the tones overlap so it's not clear.

Go figure.

When you still want to get the true end - and you did so much for getting so far - talk to tje mirror :D . In the Nordinho Forum is a post (406???) where someone wrote everything what is important in japanese. Copy this sentence in the box, remove spaces and then he should give you a ring.

No. they didn't. they really made me laugh yesterday though: i came home at night and I had gotten a Christmas candle in a can.

So I thought, it's christmas now and next year the scent will have disappeared and I opened it.

It had a lid with one of thiose rings on it, you know? So the cats hear that and the can was also about the diameter as a can of cat food (I think that has something to do with it or the sound was just so close, because they never do it with a can of veggies), and they started meowing!

And did you see the man? I still only see a mirror.

I have got all the knowledge pages...

Then I hope someone else has a better idea.
You solved all puzzles in the basement? Ai - you were already asked for putting the japanese sentence. So somewhere the man has to be.

It seems that it's not always the same!? I also could'nt take the black sword while having the silver sword and some people could.

I need to know how to get into the library as I have not been able to unlock the door. I have gotten to the point where I feel that I can not do anything else until I have gone into the library. Please help!

You find the key on the third floor.
In the long room behind a picture. Just click at the picture and it will fall down.

Read everything there. Then there is this locked cabinet.

on the 4th floor you'll find a paper that helps to open the locked cabinet door. Look at the windows.

Zapperine wrote a whole walkthrough and then there is a translation of the japanese story.

I've entered the middle basement room but I'm at a loss with the 3 puzzles inside. (disc, fuses, and levers) Could someone at least give me an idea about what I need to be doing? What do the puzzles trigger? Any info at all would help me.

Also the circular word puzzle, am I suppose to be spelling out a word or what? I've got all the letters and I found the book with the picture of the goblet that matches the table to the puzzle but I can't make out what the book says. Once again, HELP!

:thumby: The middle basement room is based on the dinning room 1F East. You have to look at a close up of the table. There are items missing from some of the settings. (Seat to the right - a plate is missing, Top right seat glasses, and bottom left a fork). Also take a note of the plate locations in the cupboard in the room next to the dinning room. (Top 2, Middle Right, and Bottom Left)

Now the code to the door corresponds to the cupboard plates
Top 2, Middle Right, and Bottom Left
Think of the seating once in the room, Puzzle to the right corresponds to the glasses, Puzzle to the left to the fork, and the front puzzle the plate.
Right Puzzle - Click top right, Left Puzzle - Click bottom left, Middle Puzzle - Drag Plate to it's setting in the seat to the right

:) This one was hard because there was no logic to finding out how to work the puzzle. However it has nothing to do with the goblet from the book. Clever though. Anyway, After completeing all puzzles in the basement the elevator in 2F North is powered up and working. The elevator will take you to 1F North. Zoom in close to the cupboard and click right to view a package. Open it with your knife to recieve a paper with twelve blank cirlces.

Hint: This is also where you'll find the blue bell and the red jewel. You will find a golden ball, put it in the fireplace and remove it with your tongs. This also activates water to fill the basin in 1F South.
Hint: (Letter hints are located under a chair in 2F East, In 1F Southeast between the wooden door and regular door (use the lever), and In 1F Southwest very faint on the wall to the left (Room with golden gate as door))

Now take the paper back up the elevator to 2F North, zoom in straight ahead to the water bowl under the mirror, and the letters to the puzzle are revealed. Take a note they change with each game. Using your letter key and your reaveled letters to enter the code on the table in 2F East.

How frustrating... after all this maths and joining puzzles together,
I have to give up because of the language and seemingly a bug. *grrrrrrrrr*

I have all the knowledge pages except one but (due to a hint) I am not
able to talk to that girl on 2F/SW...

and the guy in the mirror in the basement doesn't work also, though I
just copied the Japanese Phrase into the line...

Days of work for nothing almost at the end of the game...

any clues?

I've played this game 2005 when it came out, so I have no memories of details.
Have you tried to check the walkthrough?
