for all math lover

this game is simply maths in this game the first person will give an equation involving x and the next person have to find the value of x if his answer is correct and is confirmed by the poster, then it will be his turn to give an equation (it can even be simultaneous one)

example

1 person ; x+2=3

2person;x=1

x = 10 :haha: 0-5 = -5 :P :haha:

btw i think you have to wait until i say correct ;)

Yorick

09-03-2007, 18:50:23

Gawd im stoopid:P:P:P

i wasn't thinking

I Love This Game! :d:d:d

X=7. :d:d

Adventure

09-04-2007, 11:18:46

Correct. Your turn, Crimson. :)

Crimsonthread

09-05-2007, 01:16:32

Darn it! I love solving these, but then I always have to be creative and think up a new one! Ummmm....

x^2+9=73

Mistery

09-05-2007, 01:20:25

x=8

Crimsonthread

09-06-2007, 23:10:35

Right, Mistery. :D

Swim Girl

09-06-2007, 23:14:33

4x+(-2)=5+3x

^^Straight from my algebra 2 book =P

Crimsonthread

09-06-2007, 23:29:21

Isn't it Mistery's turn? If not, then the answer is 7.

Swim Girl

09-07-2007, 00:30:22

o yea but i waited a day and she didnt post one so i figured i could

and ur correct

Mistery

09-07-2007, 01:34:51

Well, according to the rules, the answer must be confirmed, and Crimson just confirmed it 2 hours ago ;)

So, I assume it's my turn now?

1+x^2=2x+36

Crimsonthread

09-07-2007, 02:05:58

X=5. :d

Mistery

09-07-2007, 02:07:02

Are you sure :?

Crimsonthread

09-07-2007, 02:20:09

:ashamed: NO! NOT AT ALL! I meant -5. :D (I think....)

(And I teach math... I shouldn't have missed that! O'course, we don't learn negatives in 5th grade.... so I have an excuse. :haha:)

Mistery

09-07-2007, 02:26:27

Lol, that's correct, although I've thought of 7 :haha:

Your turn :D

Crimsonthread

09-07-2007, 02:34:12

Ah, yes, they both work! :D

Mkay, here's a harder one for you!

(x-9)/(x-2)=(x+3)/(x+1)

Crimsonthread

09-17-2007, 11:54:27

Was this one too hard? Should I post another?

Lovelylilyfairy

09-17-2007, 12:47:17

x=-1/3

x^2 + 5x = 11x

Mistery

09-17-2007, 19:07:41

Lovelylilyfairy, please wait for a confirmation before you post the new one :)

Crimsonthread

09-18-2007, 01:33:04

Absolutely correct, Lovelylilyfairy!

And would your x be 6? :D

SimplyCrazy

09-18-2007, 17:56:21

What does the ^ mean? :? I've ever used that in maths before!

Crimsonthread

09-19-2007, 03:53:24

It's the same as "x squared." Or x times x. Or, if there's a different number after the ^(like x^y) then x multiplied by x y times.

....wait, did I confuse you more? How bout an example, just in case...

If x=2, then x^2 would be 4. x^3 would be 8, and so on.

Lovelylilyfairy

09-19-2007, 08:47:49

I'm sorry I mucked up Mistery :(

Yes Crimson it was 6.

Mistery

09-19-2007, 08:52:20

I'm sorry I mucked up Mistery :(

Yes Crimson it was 6.

No problem :) It's just important that we follow the rules from the first post, so that we don't get a mess here ;)

It's Crimson's turn :)

Crimsonthread

09-19-2007, 13:18:31

X^3+7=50x

grigtho

09-19-2007, 13:33:22

x=7

(x^2) / 4=(x^3)-15x

Crimsonthread

09-20-2007, 04:49:14

Right, Greek! According to the rules of the game, though, you should wait until the original poster confirms your answer before posting another question. :D Just for future reference.

grigtho

09-20-2007, 06:33:55

Yes I know but I had to log out for a few hours

Carmit

10-01-2007, 19:38:30

will you go

ill do 1 insted

x+69=104

Mistery

10-01-2007, 19:39:33

x=7

(x^2) / 4=(x^3)-15x

Carmit, first the equation by greek must be solved.

ShiningStar

10-05-2007, 15:37:34

x=7

(x^2) / 4=(x^3)-15x

is it 19.43?

grigtho

10-08-2007, 12:47:59

No it's between 1 & 9

pratik732006

10-07-2008, 14:48:24

4...

Justeazy

12-28-2008, 03:04:36

*checks the math*

Yep, that's right pratrick... and since it's been over 2 months, I think you can go, :P

linkinpark333

10-30-2009, 00:21:07

lets revive the thread again

x+29-10/3*2

Crimsonthread

10-30-2009, 01:10:15

lets revive the thread again

x+29-10/3*2

We can't solve for x, since it's not an equation.

linkinpark333

11-01-2009, 01:10:17

oops forgot what it equals

sry about that

x+29-10/3*2=16

Crimsonthread

11-04-2009, 03:00:38

Then x=-19/3. :)

linkinpark333

11-05-2009, 01:09:51

ok then

ur turn

Crimsonthread

11-05-2009, 01:32:23

I'll go with something easy: 4x=20

linkinpark333

11-05-2009, 02:01:22

x=5

y=6x+4 x=2+3

funja

11-05-2009, 02:20:40

x=2+3 and Y=34 lol idk which one you wanted to solve for so i did both
