  1. LOL. Oh yeah. He's a real piece of work!!! I called the police night before last and they found him in a pretty terrible state. Sheesh. I'll be glad to be rid of him. I have to do a lot of packing this weekend. Ugh. I'm too tired! But oh well, hopefully it will go more quickly than I expect.

    So glad you're doing well!!!
  2. Hi Selena!!! I am doing well. But i have heard you have problems with you neighbor :/ Eight more days to go! Let's hope the new place is quiet
  3. Just wanted to say hello. Haven't said hi in ages. Hope you're doing well.
  4. Yes, definitely. And well, now I have a good story to tell.

Well, according to the other driver who DID take us, it was simply about the money. It wasn't too far for them to go.
  5. Quite an adventure It's good it all worked out in the end, now it's a better memory
So taxi drivers can't pick up customers wherever they want, maybe they have their districts? (:
  6. I missed it. A tax from the airport I went to, to the airport I was SUPPOSED to be at would have been $110!!! I didn't (and don't) have that kind of money. Luckily the airline worked with me and didn't charge me extra. I just had to fly standby and it got me there 5 hours later than scheduled. It was one heck of a trip there. Everything seemed to have gone wrong, but I suppose it all worked out in the end!

Well, my understanding is that if they have to drive 10 minutes outside Manhattan to where our hotel was, then they have to drive BACK to Manhattan for the next customer. So they're driving 10 minutes without a fare, and they miss out on money.
  7. Did you get to the plane or missed it. I hope you didn't missed it and all in all it went well

LOL @ Taxy driver I wonder what was the reason? Maybe 10min drive is too cheap for them and they were hoping for a longer drive?
  8. Yeah, the time of my life. My trip to visit my family was....well....there were loads of problems. It started when I went to the wrong airport to fly there. LOL Stupid, stupid me. I was so tired and out of it. Only had 2 hours sleep and about 3 -4 hours sleep the other nights that week. D'oh!

I hope you can. That city is huge and there is SO MUCH to see and do. My friends and I even got kicked out of a taxi cab. We did nothing wrong, but we got in and told the driver to please take us to Long Island City (where our hotel was - 10 minute drive from downtown Manhattan), and he said, "No. You get out. I don't drive there. Get out." Very New York.
  9. Good to hear you had a great time in NY and you were able to visit your family in Christmas. I hope to visit NY in some day, what i have seen from tv and websites, it's a really cool town
  10. Hi again! Nah, I was only in New York in November for a few days. In December I went to Missouri to visit my mom and brother for Christmas. Now I'm home and back to my usual schedule of work and work. NY was so much fun, though! If you ever get a chance to go to the States, I highly recommend it. So much to see and do!! My friends and I just want to go back again. This last time we were there for a wedding, but we want to go without the time constraints of a wedding, and be able to sight see the whole time.
