i know of this brilliant animator program called pivot. The creator is PETER BONE. It is 2d animation using stickfigures with "pivot" points. It is frame by frame animation and is extremely easy to use. reccomended for begginners (because easy to do) and masters (because it is hard to master)

      http://www.geocities.com/peter_bone_uk/pivot.html

there is also a msn group

As a 3D modeler program I'd recommend Blender. It's more professional than Wings3D and Anim8tor and the innovative way to operate in this program makes the designing of things comfortable. If you take it seriously and wanna be(come) a good 3D Designer use Blender. Check the galleries and compare them, you ll see the differences.

You can save it as google specific file, however you can save it also as JPG (or BMP, I don't remember), so no problem. You have to click "render" and then you can choose the file type

Well, you can download the free version of AM first, gather some first experience, and you can still buy the license later if you know that you would like to work with it; this is how I did it

I've had a little play around with the free version, and I feel advanced enough to use the licensed one.

Why do you need Windows XP,I have ME.Do you think it will still work for Sketchup?

Since I have XP, I never bothered about this question, but now I read the system requirements and it says that you need
Microsoft Windows 2000, XP Home, or XP Professional

So it seems to me that Windows ME is not working.
