Thank you. Having a great day and the weather is spectacular for February here. A hug back at you and give all the doggies a pet on the head for me.
  2. LOOOOOOOOOOOOL! That's too, too funny! I love it. You know, I think in the end you could have done psychological testing on HIM by your responses to his "tests." LOL Love it. It's amazing what brothers do to make us clever, wise, and tough!
  3. LOL. So true. The brother who went to Afghanistan was the one who was most creative in his constant torturing of me. But yeah, I went through a lot with those guys. Guess they're the ones that made me so tough!
  4. I think that's a good assessment, and I tend to agree with that.

LOL. That's a very brother-ish thing to do!

My mom told me that one of my other brothers used to pour milk over another brother's head who was still in a crib! (I have four older brothers.) We're unfortunately not a very close knit family (though I try to be!), but this brother and I have definitely become very close - especially since he was in Afghanistan. My family is spread all over the USA.
  5. Goodness! Seems you had a hard time adjusting back to "normal" again too!! But, after emailing my brother on a daily basis while he was over there, I totally understand your reaction.

And how could I not support him? He's my bro who threw dead flies in my hair as a kid! LOL!
  6. Exactly. Yeah, such a shame, too... And so scary. Northern Ireland in the '80's? There was a large uprising, or coupe during that time, right? If I remember correctly there was a lot of violence and unrest.

He is doing okay. He had to start therapy and get on some anti-anxiety meds. At one point he was driving (here in the States) with his family and saw a car parked at a marquee sign, but didn't see anyone around. He swerved a bit because his first instinct was that it was a suicide bomber. So he has a bit to deal with, but it could be worse, yeah. I just hope he doesn't get sent over there again anytime soon. Too dangerous!
  7. Thanks for accepting.

Yeah, I'm so glad he's home. It was truly a very different world from the one he was used to here at home. And his base was bombed several times. Very scary... He told me that many of the Afghan people really were appreciative of the Coalition Forces over there, and appreciative when they would hire them, as well. Clayton (my brother) worked with many contractors while he was there, and said they were extremely nice.

Thanks. It's fun and rewarding to work with the people involved. I once drove a van full of cats right onto the runway of Houston Intercontinental Airport under the belly of a plane to load them. It was just before a hurricane and we shipped them to Denver. Whoever paid for that has deeper pockets than me but it was cool to be a part of it.

Love your album of animal friends. Don't know how many acres you have to support the managerie but it is unequaled by your energy to keep it going. Kudos to you.
