  • The Pictures & Albums Feature

    • To get to the Pictures & Albums Feature there are 2 options "My Profile" or "Community."
      1. "My Profile" Option:
    • Go to "My Profile" (at the top of the forums on the right side/very top)
    • Scroll down the left side of your profile until you find your albums area, & click on "More" nesxt to the word "Albums"
    • Click on the "Create New Album" button, or
    • If editing an album you already have, just click on an album cover picture, they you will be given the edit button choices you need on the top right menu bar.
      2. "Community" option:
    • Click on the "Community" drop down on the menu at the top of the forums (just under the "GamersHood Forum" Logo)
    • Click on "My Albums"
    • Click on the "Create New Album" button, or
    • If editing an album you already have, just click on an album cover picture, they you will be given the edit button choices you need on the top right menu bar.

      Creating a New Album:
    • Enter what you want to name your album, a short description about it, then choose if you want it to be public or private.
    • Press "Save Changes" button.

      Upload Pictures:
    • Click the "Upload Pictures" button on the top menu.
    • Next click on the button in the upper left corner (looks like this)=>
      This open a new box in the right corner. At the very top (near the black "X" in the right corner) of that new box you will see it is defaulted to move images from your computer, but you can choose the "website" option link for images from online (then back to "computer" if you change your mind).
    • From Website: Enter the full Url in the box provieded(http://myimage.com), then press the "Upload" button.
    • From Computer: Press the "Select Files" button. You will get a pop up window of what is on your computer. Browse for the image(s) you want, & then the "open" button.
      - If you grab the wrong images you can press the "clear list option" if you want to remove a bunch of images.
      - If you have just one image you want to remove, just select the "X" by that image (it turns red when you hover over it). This will delete the image for you.
      Already Uploaded:
    • You will see a list of images in the middle box these are here so you can find locations of images you already used/uploaded. You can also reuse them by just grabbing the picture you want, & throwing it into the box below (be sure it's checked to be used once moved).
    • Once you have the image(s) you want, select the "Upload Files." (
      - Make sure the url is a valid link and make sure all images from your computer or online, have an extension of .gif, .jpeg, .jpg.
      - Maximum File Size per Picture: 97.7 KB; Maximum Picture Dimensions 600 by 600 Pixels.
      - You can upload up to 30 picture into an album. You can change its caption (name of image), or delete selected images by using the "Edit Pictures" feature.
      Now that you have your image(s) you should see them in the bottom box under the "Attachments" menu bar. make sure the upper box of the image is checked so the image is selected.

      Edit, change the name/description, or delete, a new or existing Album:
    • Click the "Edit Album" Pencil to make any changes on the menu bar at the top right of the page.
    • Press "Save Changes" button.

      Edit Pictures:
    • Click the "Edit Pictures" Pencil
    • Write the name of your picture in the box in the middle
    • Use the drop down to choose what album you ant it in
    • CHECK the box to delete the picture. Leave it unchecked if you want to keep it.
    • Only one image per album can be a cover. If you want the image to be a cover of an album ( the one seen in your profile), then choose a selected dot by the image.


    Remember that the general rule that prohibits posting adult, offensive, or illegal content, applies also to the images in your albums.

    In addition:
    It is possible to moderate image comments of others in your own albums.
    This means you can unapprove, approve and soft-delete comments that are made in the albums you created.

    (Note: if it comes to our notice that members abuse these extra abilities we will disable this feature.)

      Making an avatar

      Hello, could someone please tell me how to make an avator on gamershood please? (Not sure where to input this question).

        is there a way to add pictures to a post with out that attachment box surrounding it when you post it.

          Hi shootermagavin...

          Yes, there is. One, you could use a photo site like photobucket.

          But you can also click on GO ADVANCED when replying. Then click on the paperclip icon. Choose the image you want to upload, and then click UPLOAD. Then, once that's done, close that upload box, and click on the paperclip again. and you will see a list of your uploaded item(s) for that post. Click on the one you want inserted into the post, and it will put it into your post and will appear as text like this: [ATTACH]1234[/ATTACH]

          Then when you post, you won't see that big attach box around it. You will still have to click on the image to see its full size, however. I hope that helps.

                Yes, you can make comments to album pictures, also your own.
