hey i got a suggestion there are so many grow games out there i noticed under sports link in games theres room for 1 more space so why not put grow games
cause it would give more space for actual rpg games cause i dont consider grow games an rpg
last night i had a dream that this forum got upgraded and u could change colour it automatically updated the thred ur in when someone posts insted of having to refresh and it had those little spiky tortoise thingys that are in gamershood avatar dancing on the side YAY
I can find more skins etc so you can choose from different styles. But if i update the forums, then i have to close the forums for some time. The upgrade is in my mind since spring :d Don't know about other things what comes with the new version but there's definitely some new "attractions". Anyway, thanks for reminding me the upgrade
He who fights and runs away can run away another day.
Close it? Oh, that's hard.
Hehe Megadoomer, nice dream. Jumping GamersHood avatars at the side, lol?
I only had some nightmares about the riddle games, but not about the forums in general (so far, lol).
One problem that comes up is when you are playing on the the NotPr0n style riddles that if you are stuck on a particularly tough riddle it can be hard to search the forums and find what you need quickly.. For example if you are having trouble on level 13, you can't search for 13, or lvl, because they are too small, and people don't always add a level number to the post anyway.
Suggestions I have for fixing this are varied:
In the first post that introduces the game you could ask players to add a line like LEVEL13 to the top of each post.. hard to get them to do that, but it would help.
The most work intensive solution involves creating a subthread for each level. This may take more work and policing on the part of the moderators, so it isn't a very good solution either.
I think a good compromise would be to create a sticky that lists spoiler hints (not answers) at the beginning of the thread. One post that could hold the most common hints given for each riddle. This may work out because there is usually a moderator or two playing the riddle anyway.
Are there any other/better ideas?
Remember, it may seem like I'm asking a lot, but having some organization will help cut down redundant "Help with level 13" posts. Sometimes good clues have been given five times already and people just didn't search or know how to properly search the forum.
