Yes. Unfortunately, it's very widespread right now.

My favorite thing to hear was from a guy in my class said something like "I don't understand why as soon as a new flu comes out that has killed a few people, most with serious underlying medical conditions, people freak out and start wearing masks and using hand sanitizers constantly when AIDS is kill many more people and has be for a long time and people still are having unprotected sex".

Also why didn't people hand sanitize and wear masks for the ordinary flu? This one is new and unknown and therefore scary but we have so many other illnesses that could also be prevented if we reacted as strongly to them as to this new thing.

Just what I said a few days ago.
Here in Hungary 1/3 of people are in panic, 2/3 of people are careless. To be careless is a national habit btw...
Noone is wearing masks though and most people don't vaccinate themselves if it's not obligatory.
And the daily nonsense fluff in the newspapers that the vaccine is dangerous... Doctors campaign here against the vaccine since it's free. When they could charge money for it earlier, they said it's oh-so-effective.
We have 4 deads so far. More people die in car accidents daily so I won't panic... yet.
