I dont know how to activated the laser and where to use the cubes and where I have to go...

have 12 cubes, gun, crowbar looking thing, shovel, red ring, some pieces of metal, ladder, flashlight that doesn't work, and a dog that needs his lamp on his hat to work?

generally at a loss as to what to do next.

did you put the batteries in the flashlight? you need to put them there i think in order to go down trough the doors in the castle (haven't got them, where did you find them)
