I'm stuck with a handful of cut wires, a battery and no idea where to use them...

Cut all 4 spots where the wire comes into the circuit board, then take the wires

How many pieces do you have?

Near the door, two are in the panel on the floor, and one is hidden in a handle on the wall

use srewdriver on right side of circuitboard in the floor
