Got a few items, and I've found a secret door, but I need a lighter or matches now

Same here, found the hatch but can't go down, and i can't zoom in any place, i wonder do i have to start over? (:

Okay i got it, you need to

mix the nails, the candle and the red ring together

to get a light. You can give

one

key

to the bird in order to get a ring, it has to be the ring,

which is placed top line and center in the inventory

I have found

several rings and used all, now have top ring in middle of row (used different than the others), 4 nails, lit candle, knife, hammer, lever, 2 keys, another item used and no longer in items list.

so I'm now wondering what next.

what's up with the child? I'm not sure what is going on at all.

well, break, dinner, and back but I figure need code for order of flowers - perhaps tied to myth or story in one of the books? I'll probably check back for hints . nudges

when you go downstairs then go up, the ghost sings and that's the hing of order of putting nails on the wall:

left down, left up, right up, right down. then use the knife and you can view a book.

I think it was where the brown dog was, I got

a hammer

. Now I'm stuck and can't solve the flower puzzle...
