I can't figure out what to do with the giant

Allegedly it's

rock, bench (2x4-use saw on table in smurf hut)and heavy book to cataupult yourself to the roof. It hasn't worked for me, but perhaps I'm hitting the wrong pixel (wouldn't be the first time)

Ah, found out it's

use saw on bench in inventory, then use 2x4 on rock and heavy book to get to roof.

It's ok, I feel dumb, too.

I have now 'floated' into castle as looking for last 2 items (hat and tears)....

Fill up bath by lake, add bubbles place on castle lake and bath...you'll float in on a bubble.

Use worm and glasses on cat.

Throw in gift before entering.

Have hat, now need tear...

Draw picture.

Catch frog, row /w branch on lotus blossom.

See the tear but can't seem to pick it up...?
Caught the tear, finished potion and trying to take key from Gargamel.
Tripped Gargamel and now I'm out....good game!

Bottom L/S has a coal bucket.
