to get down from the sceleton, just jump down at the other side by using the space bar

That was too easy.
If your stuck just look at your surroundings.

I can't get the monster in the trap! please help, I have the little torch, and the sheild thing!

You have to go under and back the monster with the torch in the dark underground, if you want to pull the monster in the trap.
