Game is up and running now with some updates (including skip buttons) The new URL is pestgame.unl.edu We have a grant to expand on the game so there might be some other changes in the upcoming year, but these fixes for now should make the game run faster and allows you to skip dialogue.

Pest Private Eye Game now Free On Web!

Now available free on the web! From the University of Nebraska--Lincoln Extension, Pest Private Eye is a Point and Click/Roleplaying game where players take on the role of Pest Private Eye, a detective who helps people solve their pest problems.
The game teaches about pests and how to manage them using the integrated pest management (IPM) approach. IPM uses a variety of methods to control pests, such as sanitation, exclusion, trapping, moisture reduction, and, only if necessary, low-toxic pesticides. Your goal is to solve the mystery at Eureka Elementary School through interaction with characters in a 3D environment. You also pick up and use items where needed to solve the tasks in each room.

Be a pest detective and help Eureka Elementary School! The Pest Private Eye free, full version game can be found online at http://pested.unl.edu/pestpi in addition to a teacher’s guide, comic book, flash movie, and other IPM resources that accompany the game. Also be sure to take the survey and tell us what you think after playing! Please do not hesitate to email me with questions or comments.

        Enjoy!
